MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a series of resurfacing projects set to begin next week in Montgomery County.
Starting Sunday, August 11, through Friday, August 16, several roads will undergo milling and paving. Lane closures will be in effect during these periods.
On Sunday, August 11, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and from Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16, lane closures will occur on Valley Green Road between Route 73 (Church Road) and Camp Hill Road in Springfield and Whitemarsh townships. Work will continue from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM each day.
Similarly, Elm Street/Hector Street between Fayette Street and Cedar Grove Road/Barren Hill Road in Conshohocken Borough and Whitemarsh Township will experience lane closures during the same hours.
In Skippack and Perkiomen townships, Graterford Road between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Perkiomen Creek Road will see lane closures from Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning.
Lastly, Salford Station Road between Route 29 (Gravel Pike) and Old Skippack Pike in Lower Frederick and Upper Salford townships will have lane closures from Sunday, August 11, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and from Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16, during the same hours.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these areas owing to expected delays. All scheduled activities are contingent on favorable weather conditions.
