Ramp Closures and Night Work Ahead on I-76 in Philly

PHILADELPHIA, PA — PennDOT announced upcoming paving and bridge repair work on I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) as part of a $41.3 million project to resurface nearly five miles of roadway, ramps, and bridges in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township.

From Monday, October 27, at 7:00 AM through Friday, October 31, at 5:00 PM, the ramp from westbound I-76 to U.S. 1 (City Avenue) will close for concrete repair, milling, and paving. Weeknight lane closures will also occur from October 27 through November 7 between Walnut Street and the Grays Ferry/University Avenue exit from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

Additionally, from Friday, November 7, at 8:00 PM through Monday, November 10, at 5:00 AM, westbound I-76 will see lane closures between U.S. 1 North and Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive for bridge repairs.

Motorists should plan for delays and allow extra time when traveling through these areas.
