Radial Brings in Auto Industry Veteran as Brands Face Fulfillment Pressure

Radial

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — Radial has named Nils Walther as its new chief commercial officer, tapping an executive with deep experience in complex, asset-heavy industries as retailers confront rising delivery expectations and tightening profit margins.

Walther joins the e-commerce fulfillment company as brands increasingly look for logistics partners capable of supporting growth without adding operational strain. He will serve on Radial’s executive leadership committee and oversee the company’s global commercial organization, with a mandate to align sales strategy more closely with operational execution.

Chief Executive Officer Tom Schmitt said Walther’s background makes him well suited for a moment when fulfillment performance has become central to brand credibility.

“Nils understands that strong commercial performance is built on trust, consistency, and execution,” Schmitt said. “As brands look for partners who can help them grow without adding complexity, he brings the right balance of commercial rigor and customer focus to support our next phase of growth.”

Walther brings more than 15 years of experience leading commercial and strategy functions at large, asset-intensive companies. Most recently, he held senior roles at Lucid Motors and Nikola Motor Company, where he helped scale commercial operations and align go-to-market strategies with manufacturing capacity and long-term financial goals.

At Radial, Walther will work across operations, product, and technology teams to ensure the company’s fulfillment solutions are tightly matched to client needs. A key focus will be expanding adoption of Radial Fast Track, the company’s program designed to help brands accelerate fulfillment while maintaining reliability and customer experience.

Walther said fulfillment execution has become a defining factor in brand growth.

I look forward to working with our teams and clients to help brands grow with confidence from click to delivery.”

Radial said the appointment reflects a broader strategy to strengthen commercial discipline as fulfillment reliability becomes a competitive differentiator across retail and e-commerce.

Walther will report to Schmitt and will be based in Arizona.
