Quarryville Man Charged with Theft in Columbia Borough

COLUMBIA, PA — A 31-year-old man from Quarryville, Pennsylvania, faces charges following an alleged theft in Columbia Borough.

According to the Columbia Borough Police Department, Charles Kauffman is accused of stealing property that was lost by mistake. The incident reportedly took place in the first block of Walnut Street, Columbia, at approximately 1:08 PM on January 1, 2024.

Following the alleged occurrence, a police officer from the Columbia Borough Police Department filed charges against Kauffman. His arrest came later, on January 16, 2024.

Nevertheless, these allegations are not a declaration of guilt. Kauffman, like all suspects or defendants, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
