Prolonged Road Closure Raises Questions as Major Water Main Project Begins

Traffic Restrictions

WARMINSTER TWP, PA — A significant stretch of eastbound County Line Road is set to shut down for more than six weeks as Aqua Pennsylvania begins a major water main installation project, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced.

Starting December 1 and continuing through January 13, 2026, eastbound County Line Road will be closed around the clock between Route 263 (York Road) and Route 332 (Jacksonville Road). The shutdown will force drivers onto a marked detour using Route 263, Route 132 (Street Road), and Route 332.

PennDOT noted that local access will remain available, but motorists should expect delays and plan for additional travel time throughout the work period. With County Line Road serving as a key connector between Bucks and Montgomery Counties, officials anticipate heavy congestion, particularly during peak hours.

Aqua Pennsylvania’s project involves installing new water infrastructure beneath the roadway, part of a broader effort to modernize utility systems across the region. All work is weather dependent, meaning the schedule could shift if winter conditions interfere.

Motorists are urged to stay alert near the construction zone and check for PennDOT updates as the project progresses.
