Police Investigating Bank Robbery at F&N Shopping Village in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DE — The Delaware State Police announced they are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday morning at the F&N Shopping Village in Wilmington.

Investigators allege that on June 22, 2023, at approximately 11:39 a.m., troopers responded to the Citizens Bank, located inside of the Acme grocery store at 2098 Naamans Road, for a report of a robbery. Troopers learned that a white male suspect approached the teller and demanded money. The teller complied, and the suspect fled from the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Troopers attempted to locate the suspect in the surrounding area but were unable to find him.

The 29-year-old teller was not injured. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a dark-colored shirt, jeans, and white sneakers. Surveillance images and video are not yet available.

The Troop 2 Robbery Unit is investigating this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective J. Dempsey by calling 302-365-8472. Information may also be provided by contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
