PNK Group Acquires Reading Site for 220,000-Square-Foot Facility

READING, PA — Industrial developer PNK Group recently acquired a 24-acre site in Reading, Berks County, and plans to build a 220,000-square-foot industrial facility, expanding its presence in Pennsylvania.

The project, known as PNK Reading at Route 222, is expected to begin construction in the second quarter of 2026.

The site is located along Route 222 with access to Interstate 76 and Interstate 78, providing connections for regional and Northeast distribution operations.

The area includes existing industrial users such as Amazon, FedEx, Kimberly-Clark, East Penn Manufacturing, Ashley Furniture Industries, Alpek Polyester, S&S Activewear and Sherwood Bedding.

The site is also near Norfolk Southern and CSX intermodal terminals, as well as a nearby FedEx logistics hub and a UPS facility within approximately one hour.

Berks County has a history as a manufacturing center and offers a large labor pool, according to the company.

PNK Group uses a construction method based on prefabricated structural components produced at its facilities in Georgia and Pennsylvania to assemble industrial buildings.
