PIXO Launches STEM Learning Kit to Teach Kids Coding and Creativity

PIXO

BEAR, DE — PIXO, a new educational technology company, has unveiled its first STEM learning kit on Kickstarter. The interactive kit allows children to build, code, and play their own video games, providing an innovative way to teach real-world tech skills through a fun and hands-on approach.

Designed for kids as young as 8, the PIXO kit comes with everything needed to assemble a functional handheld game console. The assembly process is simplified with plug-and-play wiring, step-by-step instructions, and no soldering required, making it an accessible and rewarding experience for young learners.

“PIXO empowers children to go from passive screen users to active technology creators,” said Valentina Pereyra, founder and CEO of PIXO. “By combining electronics, programming, and creativity into one accessible platform, we’re helping kids build real skills by making real things—while having fun.”

Once the console is completed, kids can access PIXO’s online platform to learn coding. Guided courses introduce programming concepts and encourage them to design and develop their own video games. The program also includes a community-sharing feature, allowing young creators to showcase their games globally and learn from each other.

The kit comes preloaded with retro-style games like Snake, Pong, and Simon, allowing users to start playing right away. More advanced students can take on coding lessons to modify these games or create entirely new titles. Community-made games such as Flappy Bird and Tank Blitz are also available for exploration.

PIXO’s Kickstarter campaign is striving to raise $30,000 to fund its first production run and expand globally. Early supporters have the chance to access exclusive rewards, such as limited-edition console colors and early previews of upcoming features.

This project represents a major step forward in hands-on STEM education by bridging the gap between digital and physical learning. Through PIXO, children not only learn how to code but also see their programs come to life on a device they built themselves.

By making STEM education engaging and creative, PIXO aims to inspire a new generation of innovators while fostering essential technical and problem-solving skills in a practical, memorable way.

PIXO is now available for pre-order on Kickstarter, with backers getting early access to kits and exclusive content.
