PHILADELPHIA, PA — Drivers in Philadelphia should plan extra time this week as overnight milling brings lane closures to Berkley Street/Roberts Avenue and U.S. 30 (Girard Avenue). The restrictions begin Monday, August 17, with work continuing through Friday, August 21.

A lane closure will be in place on Berkley Street/Roberts Avenue between Germantown Avenue and Henry Avenue from Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21.
Beginning Wednesday, August 19, a second overnight restriction will affect U.S. 30 (Girard Avenue) between Lancaster Avenue and Lansdowne Avenue/U.S. 13 (34th Street). That lane closure is scheduled through Friday, August 21.
Drivers should expect backups and delays when approaching either work zone. Plan extra time or seek alternate routes when practical, particularly during the overnight construction hours.
The work is part of PennDOT resurfacing and highway improvement projects involving roadway repairs, milling and new asphalt pavement intended to provide a smoother driving surface.
