Philadelphia Police Seek Suspect in Series of Commercial Burglaries

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of committing a series of commercial burglaries.

At 10:30 a.m. on February 3, 2024, a local business owner reported to police that their establishment had been burglarized. Video surveillance from the previous day, at approximately 2:47 a.m., revealed an unknown male smashing the front door window and entering the property. The suspect allegedly stole various store items and the owner’s Oraima electronic bike before fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male of medium build, believed to be in his 40s, and was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket and jeans. Authorities also believe this individual may be connected to similar burglaries that have occurred recently on the same block.

The Philadelphia Police Department urges anyone who sees the suspect not to approach him, but to contact 911 immediately. Tips can be submitted confidentially via telephone by dialing 215.686.TIPS (8477) or by texting a tip to the same number.

Anyone with information about this crime or the suspect should contact the Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353 or 215-686-3354. The case ID is DC-24-39-006387.

As always, an arrest or criminal complaint does not constitute guilt. The suspect, like all individuals accused of a crime, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Information is subject to change as more details become available.
