Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Suspect in Spruce Street Burglary

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Central Detective Division is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect captured in a video clip, believed to be connected to a burglary that took place in late December.

On December 26, 2023, at around 2:00 p.m., an unidentified male allegedly gained entry to a property on the 1600 block of Spruce Street. The method of entry remains unclear at this time. Once inside, the suspect reportedly took an electric grinder before leaving the premises in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as an unknown male wearing all dark clothing, gray and yellow sneakers, and a dark backpack.

Authorities are advising anyone who sees the suspect not to approach him but to dial 911 immediately. Residents with information related to the incident or the suspect are encouraged to submit a tip by calling 215.686.TIPS (8477) or texting the same number. All tips will be handled confidentially.
