PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Eagles, Braskem, and Science of Sport joined forces on April 3, 2025, to host an engaging “Field Day” event at Lincoln Financial Field. Designed to inspire and educate students through hands-on STEM activities, the event brought together 125 students from across the Greater Philadelphia Area to explore topics such as football physics, sustainability, and material science.

Participants rotated through five interactive stations, where they learned about recycling, plastic circularity, and energy efficiency in stadiums. The event aligns with both Braskem’s and the Eagles’ commitment to fostering environmental responsibility and promoting STEM education.

“We’re proud to team up with Braskem once again to elevate our shared commitment to sustainability and community development,” said Brian Napoli, Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships at the Philadelphia Eagles. “Sustainability is a pillar of the Eagles’ organizational identity, and Braskem plays a key role in the team’s environmental impact efforts. We’re thrilled to host the next generation of STEM leaders for a fun, educational field day.”

Braskem team members volunteered at the event to guide students and share professional insights, furthering the company’s mission of empowering young innovators. “Braskem is committed to our local communities and providing opportunities to bring STEM experiences to our future leaders,” said Kelly Elizardo, North America External Affairs and Sustainability Director at Braskem.

Part of the “Tackling STEM” program, supported by Science of Sport, this field day builds on a longstanding initiative aimed at addressing educational gaps and inspiring students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. Since launching in 2018, the program has already impacted around 24,000 students in the Greater Philadelphia region.

This partnership exemplifies how collaboration between sports organizations and corporations can advance educational and environmental initiatives at scale.
