PHILADELPHIA, PA — The city of brotherly love has a new millionaire, thanks to the Pennsylvania Lottery. A winning Mega Millions® ticket worth $1 million was sold at the Quick Stop Deli on Spruce Street in Philadelphia during the January 30 drawing. The lucky ticket matched all five white balls drawn—3, 5, 16, 58, 59—but missed the yellow Mega Ball 11.
For its role in this windfall, Quick Stop Deli will receive a $5,000 selling bonus. However, the identity of the fortunate winner remains unknown until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions® winners have one year from the drawing date to claim their prizes.
In addition to the million-dollar winner, more than 28,000 other PA Lottery Mega Millions® tickets won prizes of various amounts in the same drawing. This includes over 7,200 tickets purchased with Megaplier®. The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages players to check every ticket, every time.
Meanwhile, the Mega Millions® jackpot continues to grow, rolling over to an estimated annuity value of $333 million, or $160.1 million cash, for the next drawing on Friday, February 2. The Mega Millions® game is played across 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Pennsylvania Lottery players can purchase their Mega Millions® tickets online or by visiting a retailer. To locate the nearest lottery-selling location, players can visit the Find a Retailer section of the Lottery’s website.
With such significant winnings up for grabs, the next draw is sure to attract hopefuls dreaming of their own million-dollar fortune. Whether you’re a regular player or considering your first ticket, the upcoming Mega Millions® draw is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
