Phenom Extends Growth Streak as AI Cuts Hiring Costs

Phenom

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Phenom secured a seventh consecutive appearance on the Inc. 5000 list of fast-growing private companies as its artificial intelligence hiring tools helped enterprise customers reduce recruitment timelines, increase screening completion and save thousands of staff hours.

One retailer saved 17,000 recruiter hours annually and eliminated a five- to seven-day delay between job applications and initial candidate contact, according to the company.

A health care provider cut the time required to extend job offers in half and completed 92% of candidate screenings within one business day.

A manufacturer doubled its screening completion rate to 80%, with most applicants receiving responses within 1.5 hours.

The results reflect Phenom’s deployment of multiple AI agents across recruiting workflows, covering hiring requirements, candidate sourcing, screening, fraud detection, onboarding compliance and exception management.

Its intake technology gathers hiring managers’ requirements, while sourcing tools identify candidates from internal and external talent pools. Voice-based screening agents conduct interviews and advance qualified applicants, and fraud-detection systems identify synthetic candidates before recruiters review them.

The company designs those systems around requirements specific to individual jobs, industries, locations and markets, including applicable compliance rules.

One manufacturing customer expanded from a single voice-screening agent to additional intake and sourcing agents within the same hiring workflow, according to Phenom.

“Growth like this doesn’t happen because a company adds more AI,” Chief Executive Officer and co-founder Mahe Bayireddi stated. “It happens because customers trust that AI to know the difference between their business and every other business it serves.”

The company’s Voice Screening Agent received a 2026 CODiE Award for productivity and workflow technology. Phenom also earned a sixth Strategic Leader designation in the 2026 Fosway 9-Grid for Talent Acquisition and received a 2025 award recognizing AI applications in human resources.

Companies on the 2026 Inc. 5000 recorded median three-year revenue growth of 130% and collectively added more than 627,208 jobs over the same period.
