PennDOT Announces $14.9 Million Stormwater Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

Travel Restrictions

SOUTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced plans for stormwater improvements on state highways in Montgomery, Bucks, and Delaware counties. The work is part of a $14.9 million project to enhance stormwater management facilities across more than 90 state highways in the five-county Greater Philadelphia region.

From Monday, February 12, through Friday, February 16, travelers should brace for some disruptions between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Church Road will be closed between S. Gulph Road and Henderson Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County. Motorists are advised to use the designated detour routes, and local access will be maintained.

Expect lane closures on Route 463 (Forty Foot Road) between Clemens Road and Koffel Road in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County, and on Cross Road between Route 113 (Harleysville Pike) and Route 73 (Skippack Pike) in Skippack and Lower Salford townships, Montgomery County.

In Bucks County, Route 332 (Richboro Road) will have a lane closure between West Hanover Street and Rock Way in Newtown and Northampton townships. In Delaware County, expect a lane closure on Route 452 (Market Street) between Beech Street and Washington Avenue in Upper Chichester Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these areas due to expected backups and delays. As with all outdoor projects, the schedule is weather-dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, has been contracted for this project, which is financed entirely with state funds.
