Paving Work to Cause Delays on U.S. 202 in Delaware County

Road construction

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that paving work is scheduled on U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) in Chadds Ford and Concord townships, Delaware County. This is part of a $14.9 million project to improve stormwater management on more than 90 state highways in the Philadelphia region.

From Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, lane closures will be in place on southbound U.S. 202 between U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) and Hillman Drive from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Motorists should allow extra time as traffic backups and delays will occur. All activities are weather-dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor for this state-funded project.
