MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Drivers should expect overnight delays on U.S. 422 beginning Sunday, August 30, as milling and paving restrict traffic in both directions through Limerick and Upper Providence townships.

Eastbound U.S. 422 will have a lane closure between Royersford Road and Troutman Road from 7:00 PM until 5:00 AM the following morning.
Westbound U.S. 422 will be restricted between Troutman Road and Royersford Road from 8:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning.
The closures are scheduled nightly through Thursday, September 3. PennDOT advises drivers to plan extra time because backups and delays are expected. The schedule depends on weather conditions.
The restrictions are part of a $6.2 million project to resurface and repair 4.4 miles of U.S. 422. Work includes milling, applying a new asphalt surface, restoring pavement markings, reinstalling edge-line rumble strips, and completing base repairs where needed.
Allan Myers Inc., of Worcester, is the general contractor. The project is financed entirely with state funding.
