PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced overnight construction next week on northbound I-95 in Center City as part of the $329 million I-95 CAP project.

On Thursday, October 9, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a left lane closure will be in place between the Columbus Boulevard and I-676 interchanges. The ramp from Columbus Boulevard to northbound I-95 will also be closed, with traffic detoured north on Columbus Boulevard to the Summer Street on-ramp.

PennDOT advises motorists to expect significant delays and allow extra time when traveling through the area. All schedules are weather dependent.
