Overnight Closure Planned on Tacony Street for I-95 Bridge Construction

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Tacony Street in Northeast Philadelphia will close early Tuesday, September 23, to allow for overhead bridge work tied to the I-95 reconstruction project.

The closure will run from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. between Aramingo Avenue and Bridge Street. Detours will direct northbound traffic to Aramingo/Harbison Avenue and Bridge Street, while southbound drivers will be routed via Bridge Street and Aramingo/Harbison Avenue.

PennDOT advises motorists to plan for delays and allow additional travel time. All work is weather dependent.
