PHILADELPHIA, PA — Osaic is expanding its relationship with financial planning technology provider RISR, adding business valuation, succession and exit planning capabilities for its network of more than 10,000 financial professionals as demand grows for advice tailored to business owners.
The expanded agreement builds on a partnership launched in 2025 and is intended to help advisors incorporate business planning into broader wealth management strategies, the companies reported.
Under the expanded offering, advisors will have access to tools for business valuation, succession planning, exit strategy development and business risk management. The platform is designed to help advisors integrate a client’s business assets with personal financial goals.
The expansion comes as millions of privately held businesses are expected to change ownership over the next decade. Citing research from the McKinsey Institute for Economic Mobility, the companies noted that an estimated 6 million small and midsize businesses are projected to transition ownership by 2035, with more than 1 million potentially suitable for a sale or employee ownership transaction representing roughly $5 trillion in enterprise value.
Osaic Senior Vice President of Advisor Education and Training Jerry Schreck indicated the firm is responding to increasing demand for specialized planning tools.
“As demand for sophisticated business owner planning continues to grow, it’s critical that our advisors have access to the tools and resources needed to serve clients with confidence,” Schreck stated. “RISR helps our financial professionals uncover opportunities more efficiently and engage clients in deeper conversations around long-term wealth planning.”
RISR also recently introduced an artificial intelligence-powered document analysis feature intended to summarize planning documents, identify potential risks and reduce the time required to evaluate business planning opportunities.
Amanda Bussa, managing partner at Bussa Financial Partners, indicated the platform helps advisors address business owners’ questions about enterprise value and long-term planning.
“RISR helps me bring clarity to one of the most important questions they have: what is my business worth today, and how can I increase that value over time?” Bussa stated.
The companies indicated the expanded relationship reflects Osaic’s broader effort to provide advisors with technology to support entrepreneurs through business growth, succession and ownership transitions.
