Osage University Partners Adds Cybersecurity Investor Gibb Witham

BALA CYNWYD, PA — Osage University Partners recently appointed Gibb Witham as a venture partner, expanding the firm’s focus on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence investments as competition intensifies around deep technology startups tied to enterprise and government markets.

Witham currently serves as president of Hack The Box, an Osage University Partners portfolio company focused on cyber readiness and workforce training. The company said Witham will help identify and support cybersecurity, AI and enterprise infrastructure software startups within OUP’s investment portfolio.

Prior to joining Hack The Box, Witham held an investment role at Paladin Capital Group, where he focused on cybersecurity and AI-related companies.

Osage University Partners indicated the appointment is intended to strengthen the firm’s ability to evaluate and scale university-linked deep technology ventures as demand for cybersecurity infrastructure and AI platforms accelerates across both commercial and public-sector markets.

Witham stated the firm’s broader investment strategy creates opportunities across the deep technology sector and said he plans to work with OUP to identify startups positioned to develop cybersecurity and AI products and business models with long-term commercial potential.

Marc Singer indicated Witham brings operational and investment experience that will support the firm’s cybersecurity investment strategy and startup growth initiatives.
