NORRISTOWN, PA — The rhythm of jazz, the energy of live performance, and the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance are set to light up Norristown as Theatre Horizon closes its season with a show that promises to have audiences tapping their feet from start to finish.

Ain’t Misbehavin’, The Fats Waller Musical Show brings more than just music to the stage—it delivers a full celebration of one of the most vibrant eras in American culture. Running April 29 through May 17, the Tony Award-winning musical revue transforms Theatre Horizon into a lively, jazz-filled space where storytelling and song collide.

Directed by three-time Barrymore Award winner Amina Robinson, the production is designed as both a concert and a theatrical experience, featuring more than 20 iconic songs made famous by Fats Waller. Audiences can expect beloved classics like Honeysuckle Rose, The Joint Is Jumpin’, and I Can’t Give You Anything But Love, all performed by a dynamic cast backed by a live six-piece band.

“This show is a dynamic, performer-driven love letter not only to Fats Waller, but also to the Harlem Renaissance,” Robinson said. “It’s all about energy and connection, and the way music can bring people together in the moment.”

A Cast and Creative Team Full of Local Talent

The production features a standout ensemble of performers with strong ties to the Philadelphia region and beyond. Rajeer Alford, Curtis Harris, Tiara J. Greene, Jessica Money, and Chabrelle D. Williams take center stage, each bringing their own voice and style to the timeless music.

Behind the scenes, a seasoned creative team helps shape the experience, including music director Brigitte Rottman and choreographer Eliana Pinckney, alongside a live band that keeps the show’s jazz roots front and center.

More Than a Show—A Full Community Experience

Theatre Horizon is extending the celebration beyond the stage with a lineup of special events designed to make the experience more accessible and interactive.
