Nighttime Lane Closures Ahead on I-95 in Northeast Philly

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced overnight lane and ramp closures next week on I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia for bridge and median construction under the $355.3 million I-95/BR3 project.

From Monday, October 6, through Friday, October 10, lane closures will be in place nightly from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM on southbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and Allegheny Avenue interchanges for barrier removal, deck repairs, and a traffic shift.

On Monday, October 13, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, the ramps from Aramingo Avenue and from the Betsy Ross Bridge to northbound I-95 will be closed for bridge beam setting. Both closures include detours via nearby exits and local streets.

PennDOT warns of significant delays and advises motorists to allow extra time. All work is weather dependent.
