YARDLEY, PA — Newcleus has hired former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission attorney Ean Estep as regional managing director, adding more than 15 years of bank- and corporate-owned life insurance experience as the firm expands its executive-benefits business.
Estep joins Newcleus from Northwestern Mutual and will work with financial institutions and other organizations on Bank-Owned Life Insurance, or BOLI, Corporate-Owned Life Insurance, or COLI, and executive-benefit strategies.
His experience includes non-qualified benefit programs and executive retirement plans, combining insurance and benefits work with a regulatory background from his tenure as an SEC attorney.
The appointment adds regulatory expertise to Newcleus as financial institutions navigate the design and administration of benefit programs intended to meet both institutional financial objectives and executive retirement needs.
“Our industry is evolving, and clients need partners who can bring both deep expertise and fresh thinking to the challenges they face,” Estep said.
Newcleus President and CEO Daniel Barbaree cited Estep’s combination of regulatory knowledge and BOLI/COLI experience as a factor in the appointment.
“Ean’s combination of regulatory insight and BOLI/COLI experience is rare in our industry,” Barbaree said.
Newcleus provides executive-benefit and BOLI/COLI services to financial institutions and other organizations.
