MEDIA, PA — Natural Lands is calling on artists to submit their work for Art & Connect, a juried exhibition organized by its NextGen Council in partnership with the Da Vinci Art Alliance in Philadelphia. The exhibition will run from November 13 to November 16, 2025, at the Da Vinci Art Alliance, providing an opportunity for creators to showcase their unique connections to the natural world.
Open to artists aged 18 and older from all backgrounds, Art & Connect encourages participants to capture the beauty of nature, particularly the landscapes and wildlife of eastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. Special consideration will be given to pieces inspired by Natural Lands’ conserved spaces, which include more than 40 nature preserves, a public garden, and hundreds of privately conserved properties. Submissions across all mediums are welcome, including painting, sculpture, and poetry.
“Art has the power to deepen our connection to nature,” said Jarrodd Davis, chair of the NextGen Council’s event committee. “We are excited to invite people to reflect the beauty of our incredible local landscapes through their art and immerse themselves in nature this summer. This exhibition is a celebration of creativity, conservation, and community, which we look forward to bringing to new audiences in the city, to inspire more to enjoy the nature that’s all around us.”
Key dates for participation include a submission deadline of Friday, August 1, 2025, with notifications of acceptance sent by August 15. Artwork must be delivered between November 6 and November 9, and the exhibition will launch with an opening reception on November 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
The Art & Connect exhibition is spearheaded by Natural Lands’ NextGen Council, a group of young advocates working to bring conservation to new and diverse audiences. Their initiative reflects a broader commitment to blending creativity with environmental awareness, inspiring individuals to engage more deeply with the natural world.
Artists interested in submitting their work or learning more about the exhibition are encouraged to explore how their art can celebrate nature and conservation through this unique platform. This initiative promises both an artistically enriching and community-focused experience, highlighting the beauty and importance of the environment we share.
