Morgan Properties Expands Technology Leadership Amid Growth Push

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Morgan Properties has appointed Devang Patel as head of technology as the apartment owner expands its national platform and increases investment in digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and operational systems tied to portfolio growth.

Patel will oversee enterprise technology strategy across infrastructure, corporate systems, property technology, resident-facing platforms, and data analytics, according to the company. The role places technology operations closer to executive decision-making as Morgan Properties continues scaling one of the country’s largest multifamily housing portfolios.

The appointment comes during a broader leadership transition at the privately held real estate firm, following the elevation of Jonathan Morgan and Jason Morgan to co-chief executive roles and an expansion of the company’s executive team.

Morgan Properties did not disclose financial details tied to the appointment or planned technology spending levels. The company framed the move as part of a broader operational modernization effort intended to support growth and improve efficiency across its real estate platform.

“Technology has become a critical driver of how we operate and scale across our portfolio,” Chief Operating Officer Greg Curci said in a statement.

Patel brings more than two decades of experience in enterprise technology operations, including infrastructure management, modernization programs, and digital transformation initiatives across finance, investment, consumer platform, and retirement-services sectors.

His background in financial services may also carry implications for Morgan Properties’ governance and risk-management capabilities as multifamily operators face growing cybersecurity, compliance, and data privacy pressures tied to increasingly digital resident services.

Patel said his focus will include developing a technology roadmap aligned with operational performance and resident experience objectives.

Morgan Properties has continued expanding beyond its traditional regional footprint in recent years as institutional investors and large apartment operators compete for scale, operational efficiency, and technology-driven cost management in the multifamily housing sector.
