Monthlong Lane Closures Could Snarl Traffic in Chadds Ford

CHADDS FORD TWP, PA — Drivers traveling through the busy U.S. 1 corridor in Chadds Ford should prepare for daytime lane restrictions throughout April as PennDOT continues a roadway safety improvement project in the area.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, weekday lane closures will occur in both directions of U.S. 1 between Creek Road and Ring Road while crews install new curbing, ADA-accessible ramps, and sidewalk improvements.

Additional lane closures will also affect Creek Road between Baltimore Pike and Upper Bank Drive during the same daytime work hours.

PennDOT noted that all scheduled construction activities are weather dependent and may change if conditions require.
