HATFIELD, PA — Laboratory Testing LLC (LTI) has acquired Assured Testing Services, a Ridgway-based provider of corrosion exposure, mechanical and materials testing, in a move aimed at expanding technical capabilities and strengthening the company’s position in global testing markets.
The acquisition unites two long-established players in the materials testing sector, combining LTI’s broad laboratory services with Assured Testing’s specialized corrosion and environmental exposure expertise. Together, the companies bring more than six decades of industry experience and a shared customer base spanning automotive, aerospace, consumer products and metal finishing.
Assured Testing Services, founded in 2001 by Steve Quinn and Brian Smith, grew out of the powdered metal parts manufacturing industry’s need for more advanced corrosion-resistance and environmental testing. The company has since expanded into a wider range of mechanical and materials testing services and today supports more than 600 customers worldwide.
Quinn said joining LTI represents a significant step forward for Assured Testing, allowing the team to offer clients additional capabilities and invest in new test technologies as demand for highly reliable materials validation continues to rise.
LTI’s acquisition comes on the heels of its 2025 purchase by Kanbrick, a long-term investment partnership focused on scaling businesses through targeted expansion and operational improvements. LTI CEO Brandon McVaugh said the combined organization will accelerate the company’s strategy to enter new markets, strengthen service delivery and build the most trusted independent test lab in North America.
He added that Assured Testing’s track record and alignment with LTI’s values will help the company provide customers with faster, more accurate and more comprehensive testing solutions as industries deepen their focus on quality and safety.
