RADNOR, PA — Lincoln Financial (NYSE: LNC) has been named one of Ethisphere’s 2026 World’s Most Ethical Companies, marking the fifth consecutive year the insurer has received the designation, the company announced.
Ethisphere recognized 138 organizations across 17 countries and 40 industries based on corporate ethics, compliance, and governance practices.
The designation is based on Ethisphere’s Ethics Quotient, which evaluates companies using more than 240 data points, including corporate governance, risk assessment, compliance programs, and environmental and social impact, according to the organization.
The evaluation process includes both quantitative analysis and qualitative review by a panel of experts, Ethisphere said.
Lincoln Financial Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Ellen Cooper said ethical leadership remains a core focus for the company.
“Acting with integrity is fundamental to how we operate and how we show up for one another,” Cooper said. “Ethical leadership guides our decisions and strengthens the trust we build with customers, partners and communities.”
Steve Harris, senior vice president and chief ethics and compliance officer at Lincoln Financial, said the recognition reflects the company’s compliance programs and internal culture.
“Our reputation is built on integrity, and we are committed to doing the right thing,” Harris said.
Erica Salmon Byrne, Ethisphere’s chief strategy officer and executive chair, said companies recognized in the program demonstrate strong ethics and governance practices tied to long-term performance.
“Companies with strong ethics, compliance, and governance programs are built for better long-term performance,” Byrne said.
