LANCASTER, PA — Penn Medicine Park is ushering in the holiday season with the return of its wildly popular Christmas Tree Lane, a free community event featuring 117 elaborately decorated trees and a monthlong lineup of festive activities designed for families, children, and holiday enthusiasts.
Now in its sixth year, the illuminated walkway runs through December 23 and welcomes visitors from across the region to enjoy one of Lancaster’s most vibrant seasonal traditions. The event operates 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with the exception of December 8, when it will be closed.
The trees, provided by Elizabeth Farms, create a glowing holiday path throughout the ballpark. Guests can vote for their favorite designs, with each $2 vote supporting local nonprofits — turning the display into both a celebration and a community fundraiser.
Nightly attractions include free photos with Santa from 6 to 8 p.m., a family-friendly Elf on the Shelf search, and an adult scavenger hunt with a chance to win a 2026 Lancaster Stormers prize pack. Visitors can also see what organizers describe as Pennsylvania’s largest Santa, standing 42 feet tall.
Special weekly events add to the draw. Wednesdays feature “Wet Nose Wednesday,” inviting dogs and their owners to tour the trees and pose with Santa. On Fridays, guests can meet rotating holiday characters, including Anna and Kristoff on December 12, and Elsa and Olaf on December 19. Live reindeer appearances are scheduled for December 11, 18, and 21.
Food, snacks, desserts, and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the event.
Penn Medicine Park, which hosts concerts, sports, and community gatherings year-round, anticipates strong attendance and encourages visitors to check its website for updated event details.
