LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster Stormers announced the return of their annual Independence Day Celebration at Clipper Magazine Stadium on Wednesday, July 3rd. This free event, starting at 5:30 p.m., promises four hours of family-friendly fun, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.

The evening kicks off with live music from the Josh Squared Trio, who will keep the energy high throughout the night. Fans can enjoy a variety of activities, including playing catch, frisbee, soccer, and cornhole in the outfield. Kids can bounce around in inflatables provided by Bounce House Rentals of Lancaster and enjoy free carousel rides in the Kreider Kids Park. There will also be an Infield Wiffle Ball Home Run Derby and a preview of the upcoming Red Rose Rumble wrestling event.

At 7:00 p.m., the excitement ramps up with Lancaster’s own Hot Dog Eating Contest, featuring Shack Shake Hot Dogs, and the debut of the Apple Pie Eating Contest, sponsored by Lancaster Pie Company. Who will take home the championship titles this year?

The night concludes with the Red White & BOOM Fireworks Extravaganza at 9:30 p.m., lighting up the sky in a grand finale. Throughout the event, fans can enjoy craft beers, cocktails, and a variety of delicious ballpark foods, including craft hot dogs, Blazin J’s chicken sandwiches, Fuddruckers burgers, funnel cakes, and Kreider Farms ice cream.

Stormers general manager Mike Reynolds expressed his excitement, saying, “We are thrilled to bring back this FREE Independence Day event for the Lancaster community. We can’t wait to throw the best Independence Day celebration in the Susquehanna Valley!”
