LANCASTER, PA — The sounds of summer are returning to Penn Medicine Park as the Lancaster Stormers prepare to open their home schedule with a night packed full of baseball, fireworks, and family fun.

Following a season-opening road trip to York, the Stormers will take the field at home on Friday, April 24, marking the start of the team’s 21st season in Lancaster. For many in the community, Opening Day signals more than just baseball—it’s a tradition that brings families, friends, and fans together to celebrate the start of a new season.

“Opening Day for the Lancaster Stormers has long been the unofficial start of summer here in Lancaster,” said CEO Mike Reynolds. “It’s a moment when our community comes together… to celebrate not just baseball, but the traditions that make Lancaster County so special.”

Fans attending Friday night’s opener can expect a full slate of entertainment both on and off the field. The first 1,000 attendees will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of Hess’s Barbeque, while Youth Baseball Night, presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods, will spotlight young players from across the region.

New experiences are also part of the excitement this year, including updated food and drink options and a brand-new slide in the kids’ park. Throughout the evening, in-game entertainment and family-friendly activities will keep the energy high, leading up to a post-game fireworks show presented by LGH Penn Medicine.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy pregame ceremonies and secure giveaways, with gates opening well ahead of first pitch.
