LANCASTER, PA — In a significant operation by the Lancaster County Drug Task Force (LCDTF), Chene Skowronek, a 44-year-old resident of East Cocalico, was arrested on April 11, 2024, facing serious allegations related to drug trafficking and possession.

Authorities charged Skowronek with the intention to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, and clonazepam, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, following a diligent investigation and a search warrant executed at his residence in the 2100 block of Kramer Mill Road, Stevens. The LCDTF’s probe into Skowronek’s activities began in December 2023 following suspicions of his involvement in methamphetamine distribution within the area. This led to multiple undercover operations and the acquisition of drugs using pre-recorded funds directly from the accused up until April 2024.

Evidence

On the day of his arrest, the East Cocalico Township Police Department intercepted Skowronek in the 1800 block of N. Reading Road. He was found with a small quantity of methamphetamine and immediately taken into custody. Further examination of his property under a subsequent search warrant disclosed an alarming array of illegal items:

  • 259 grams of methamphetamine
  • 14 grams of cocaine
  • 67 clonazepam pills
  • An assortment of drug paraphernalia
  • Three handguns and five rifles
  • One ballistic vest
  • $525.00 in cash

Following his arrest, Skowronek managed to post a monetary bail of $50,000.00 on April 16. It is crucial to highlight that the charges against him are mere allegations at this stage. Like all defendants, Skowronek is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
