Lancaster County Roadwork to Prompt Detours Through June

Road Closure and Detour

MANOR TWP, PA — Motorists in Lancaster County, prepare for detours. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced an extensive pipe replacement project on Donnerville Road (Route 3031) in Manor Township, set to impact local traffic patterns through late June.

Starting Monday, April 15, and weather permitting, the project will see the replacement of five critical pipes along different segments of Donnerville Road. This necessary maintenance work aims to ensure the road’s long-term durability and safety but will require drivers to navigate alternate routes.

The first phase targets two pipes between Route 999 (Blue Rock Road) and Charlestown Road, with work scheduled from April 15 to May 3. During this period, a detour will guide vehicles via Charlestown Road, Central Manor Road, and back to Route 999.

Subsequent replacements between Charlestown Road and Habecker Church Road are planned from May 13 to May 31. Here, travelers will be rerouted through Habecker Church Road, South Forrey Road, and Charlestown Road to circumvent the construction zone.

The final stretch of work, focusing on a pipe between Habecker Church Road and Weaver Road, is slated for June 10 to June 28. A detour will utilize Weaver Road, Cornerstone Road, South Centerville Road, and Charlestown Road to facilitate uninterrupted passage.

PennDOT assures that access to all residences within the closure areas will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. As the community braces for these changes, patience and planning will be key for residents and commuters navigating the temporary disruptions.
