LANCASTER, PA — The Lancaster County Drug Task Force, with the aid of several law enforcement agencies, arrested two men on April 18, 2024, for allegedly running separate drug operations out of the same apartment complex in East Lampeter. Keith Thompson, 43, and Jan Abreu-Vizcarrondo, 24, both residents of the 1600 block of Old Philadelphia Pike, face various drug-related charges following a meticulous investigation.
Thompson is accused of possessing with the intent to deliver methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana; possession of oxycodone pills; drug paraphernalia; and unlawfully possessing a firearm, given his prior conviction. The investigation into Thompson’s alleged cocaine distribution began in February 2024, leading to several undercover purchases. On the morning of the arrests, authorities executed search warrants at Thompson’s storage unit, residence, and apartment, where they reportedly seized over 144 grams of methamphetamine, 40 grams of cocaine, more than 2,351 grams of marijuana, 14 oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia, a handgun, and $55,990 in cash. Thompson’s bail was set at $750,000.
In a parallel investigation, the Drug Task Force targeted Abreu-Vizcarrondo starting in January 2024 over allegations of large-scale marijuana sales. Abreu-Vizcarrondo reportedly traveled to Philadelphia to purchase marijuana for distribution in Lancaster County. A search warrant executed at his apartment yielded approximately 22 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a handgun, and $9,248 in cash. He faces charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Abreu-Vizcarrondo has since posted $50,000 bail and was released.
While the charges against Thompson and Abreu-Vizcarrondo are serious, it is important to remember that these allegations do not equate to guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. These cases will continue to unfold as they make their way through the legal process.
