Intersection Improvement Project Continues on U.S. 202, Route 491 in Concord Township

CONCORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Construction is expected to continue at the U.S. 202 (Wilmington/West Chester Pike) and Route 491 (Naamans Creek Road)/Beaver Valley Road Intersection in Concord Township, Delaware County, on a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) project to improve mobility and reduce congestion for motorists and emergency services.

Motorists are advised that on Sunday, October 22, through Friday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, weekday/weeknight and Sunday lane closures are scheduled at the following locations:

  • U.S. 202 (Wilmington/West Chester Pike), both directions, between Smithbridge Road and Watkin Avenue; and
  • Route 491 (Naamans Creek Road) between U.S. 202 (Wilmington/West Chester Pike) and Graystone Drive.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
