Instinct Science Expands Footprint with Arista Advanced Pet Care Partnership

Instinct Science

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Veterinary software provider Instinct Science has partnered with Arista Advanced Pet Care, a newly launched veterinary group operating under a shared ownership model, to deliver its cloud-based Instinct EMR platform across a network of specialty and emergency pet hospitals in the U.S. The collaboration began with the successful implementation of Instinct’s system at Arista’s first facility in Atlanta, Georgia, which opened in April.

The rollout marks a strategic milestone for both companies: it is Arista’s first hospital to go live and another step in Instinct’s expansion into advanced veterinary care centers. Instinct EMR was built to meet the specific demands of specialty and emergency veterinary practices, offering features such as digital treatment sheets, automated charge capture, real-time reporting, and integrated administrative tools.

Instinct’s VP of Strategic Partnerships, Dr. Elliott Garber, described Arista as an ideal partner for the platform, noting that Instinct EMR was developed “by veterinary professionals to serve advanced care centers like Arista.”

Arista, a sister company to CityVet, is taking a differentiated approach to the veterinary care model by offering shared ownership to veterinarians. This structure allows doctor-owners to influence both clinical and operational decisions while fostering long-term sustainability in their practices.

The Atlanta hospital was constructed from the ground up to provide 24/7 emergency and referral services, and the decision to implement Instinct EMR from inception reflects Arista’s focus on scalability, operational efficiency, and high-quality patient care.

“We chose Instinct EMR because of their innovative platform, deep experience in veterinary medicine, and 24/7 support,” said Jennifer Welser, DVM, DACVO, president of Arista Advanced Pet Care. “We are confident that this partnership will be mutually beneficial as we grow together.”

With plans to open additional facilities—starting with Dallas, Texas later this year—Arista is positioning itself as a next-generation provider in the specialty veterinary space. The use of Instinct’s EMR platform will support Arista’s growth strategy while reinforcing its commitment to clinical excellence and team wellbeing.

The partnership represents a broader trend in veterinary care toward technology-enabled, owner-led practices that prioritize both operational performance and quality of care. As Arista builds out its national footprint, Instinct Science is poised to play a key role in powering that expansion.
