PHILADELPHIA, PA — Insomnia Cookies is offering 30,000 incoming U.S. college freshmen free six-packs of cookies beginning Aug. 11, using the limited promotion to enroll students in its loyalty program as the Philadelphia-based bakery brand targets a new class of college consumers.

Students expected to graduate in 2030 can qualify by joining Insomnia Rewards or updating an existing account with their university and expected graduation year. The first 30,000 eligible participants will automatically receive a reward for a free Freshman 6-Pack in their accounts.

The offer is available while supplies last and can be redeemed at participating U.S. Insomnia Cookies bakeries through Sept. 14. Students must present a valid student ID at the counter.

Redemption is limited to in-store transactions and is not available for pickup or delivery orders. The reward expires at 3 a.m. Pacific time Sept. 15.

The campaign, branded as “Insomnia University,” extends the company’s longstanding focus on college markets, where its late-night operating model has helped build its customer base.

“I started Insomnia as a college student looking for a better late-night option, and college has been core to our brand ever since,” founder and Chief Executive Officer Seth Berkowitz said.
