WILMINGTON, DE — Incyte (Nasdaq: INCY) appointed Suketu Upadhyay as executive vice president and chief financial officer effective May 4, 2026, the company announced.
Upadhyay will oversee Incyte’s global finance organization, including strategic financial planning, capital allocation, investor relations, finance and accounting, global sourcing, environmental, social and governance initiatives, information technology, and facilities operations.
Bill Meury, chief executive officer of Incyte, said Upadhyay will help guide the company’s financial strategy and capital allocation efforts.
“He will guide our capital allocation approach and apply effective financial stewardship in support of value creation for our shareholders,” Meury said. He added that Upadhyay is known for a “detail-oriented approach, objective decision-making, and disciplined investment mindset.”
Upadhyay most recently served as executive vice president and chief financial officer at Zimmer Biomet, where he oversaw financial operations for the orthopedic device manufacturer.
Before joining Zimmer Biomet, Upadhyay held finance leadership positions at Bristol Myers Squibb, Endo International, Becton Dickinson, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson.
At Bristol Myers Squibb, he served as senior vice president of global financial operations. He also previously held the roles of executive vice president and chief financial officer at Endo International, interim chief financial officer and chief accounting officer at Becton Dickinson, and finance and business development positions at AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson.

Upadhyay earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Albright College and an MBA from Duke University Fuqua School of Business.
