NEWARK, DE — ImageKit announced a new integration with Rclone designed to simplify large-scale media migrations and reduce the risks associated with moving millions of files across storage platforms.
The integration leverages Rclone’s command-line tooling to transfer or synchronize massive libraries of images and videos from more than 70 supported storage systems, including Amazon S3, Google Cloud, and Azure Blob. Businesses can now migrate data into ImageKit while preserving file integrity and minimizing downtime.
By enabling parallel transfers, resumable operations, and integrity checks through cryptographic hashes, the integration offers a faster, more reliable alternative to traditional bulk migration methods. Additional features such as dry-run simulations, bandwidth throttling, and path filtering allow organizations to test and phase their migrations, reducing disruption.
“Businesses want the benefits of ImageKit DAM, including AI-powered media management, structured metadata, seamless collaboration, and smooth integration into everyday tools, without the risks of a complete switchover migration,” said Manu Chaudhary, Co-founder and CTO of ImageKit. “By embracing Rclone, we are meeting teams where they are and making data movement predictable, verifiable, and reversible.”
The integration is automation-ready, supporting scripting in CI/CD pipelines and scheduled transfers for hybrid or ongoing data needs. ImageKit said the move reflects growing demand among media-heavy enterprises for migration processes that balance speed, reliability, and control.
