ICYMI: CampusESP Expands Slate Integration to Target Student Enrollment

CampusESP

PHILADELPHIA, PA — CampusESP has expanded its integration with Technolutions’ Slate admissions platform, allowing colleges and universities to incorporate family engagement data into student recruitment decisions as institutions seek to improve application conversion and enrollment rates.

The Philadelphia-based education technology company introduced CampusESP Slate Suitcase+, which adds enrollment funnel reporting and parent engagement metrics directly to Slate, a customer relationship management system used by higher education admissions offices.

The integration allows enrollment teams to evaluate family engagement alongside student application activity, identify prospective students whose families demonstrate strong interest and target additional outreach to those showing lower engagement.

CampusESP said its data indicate that students whose parents rank in the highest quartile of engagement are three times as likely to enroll as those with less-engaged families.

The expanded platform introduces two reporting functions designed to help admissions departments assess how family involvement corresponds with student enrollment outcomes.

A Funnel Snapshot feature displays the number of families associated with prospective students at each stage of the enrollment process, from initial inquiry through enrollment. It also reports average Parent Promoter Score, CampusESP’s proprietary measure of family engagement.

A separate Funnel Conversion feature tracks student progression through the admissions process according to family engagement levels, allowing institutions to compare application and enrollment outcomes across different groups.

The company also added a Parent Engagement tab to individual student records within Slate.

The feature displays associated family members, their relationships to students, account status, recent activity and Parent Promoter Scores, giving admissions personnel access to family engagement information without switching between software platforms.

“Families are constantly telling you something through their engagement,” said Dave Becker, CampusESP’s chief executive officer and co-founder. “Teams can see which families are engaged, where students are in the funnel, and use that information to influence recruitment and yield strategy.”

The expansion builds on an existing two-way integration between CampusESP and Slate.

Student information moves from Slate into CampusESP to support personalized family communications, while engagement data collected by CampusESP flows back into Slate for use by enrollment teams.

The integration currently synchronizes 28 data fields, including Parent Promoter Score, with the ability to incorporate additional fields.

The new reporting capabilities are intended to help colleges identify where family engagement is associated with stronger application conversion and where additional communication may be warranted.

Enrollment yield, the percentage of admitted students who ultimately enroll, is a central performance measure for admissions departments and affects institutional enrollment planning.

CampusESP’s approach incorporates family engagement into those assessments, supplementing the student-focused information already available through Slate.

The company is a Slate Preferred Partner and said more than half of its customers use both platforms.

CampusESP Slate Suitcase+ is available to institutions using CampusESP for Student Enrollment alongside Slate.
