During the closures, motorists will be directed to follow posted detour routes to reach MacDade Boulevard or southbound I-95. Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time near the affected interchanges.

Additional weeknight lane closures will continue through October on northbound and southbound I-476 between the I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) and I-95 interchanges. Those restrictions are scheduled from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM for bridge repairs, guiderail installation, and line striping.

The work is part of a $63.7 million federally funded project to resurface and improve nearly 17 miles of I-476, including repairs to 49 structures and improvements to drainage systems, sound walls, and roadside safety features. H&K Group Inc. of Skippack is the general contractor.
