Eastbound Route 291 (Penrose Avenue) will also experience a daytime lane restriction Monday between Island Avenue and the I-95 interchange for mast pole removal.
The work is part of a $60.4 million federally funded project to repair deteriorating interstate bridges across the Philadelphia region. IEW Construction Group Inc. of Hamilton, New Jersey, is the general contractor.
PennDOT warns that backups and delays will occur. Drivers should allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes. All scheduled work is weather dependent.
