RIDLEY TWP, PA — Drivers traveling through Delaware County should prepare for overnight disruptions as three Interstate 95 and Interstate 476 ramps close next weekend for bridge and pavement repairs. The restrictions will affect access to MacDade Boulevard and southbound I-95 during two consecutive nights of construction.

- Dates: Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, 2026
- Times: 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM the following morning each night

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will close the ramps overnight Friday into Saturday and again Saturday into Sunday. Motorists will be directed to follow posted detour routes to reach MacDade Boulevard or southbound I-95.
Drivers should plan extra travel time, particularly those connecting between I-476 and I-95 or exiting toward MacDade Boulevard.
Additional construction restrictions will continue on I-476 through October. Weeknight lane closures are scheduled from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM on northbound and southbound sections between the I-76 and I-95 interchanges in Montgomery and Delaware counties.
Those restrictions will accommodate bridge repairs, guiderail installation, pavement markings, and other construction activities.
The work is part of a $63.7 million federally funded project covering nearly 17 miles of I-476, including associated ramps and bridges.
The project includes resurfacing travel lanes and shoulders, repairing 49 structures, improving 21 stormwater management basins, repairing sound walls and upgrading drainage systems, signs, and roadside safety equipment.
H&K Group Inc., based in Skippack, Montgomery County, is the general contractor.
Motorists traveling through the affected interchanges should expect delays, follow posted detours, and consider alternate routes during overnight construction.
