Both ramps connecting eastbound and westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) to northbound I-476 will close overnight Friday. Drivers will be directed to follow posted detour routes to access northbound I-476.

If weather postpones the work, the ramp closures will instead occur Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM Sunday.

Additional weeknight lane closures will continue through October on northbound and southbound I-476 between the I-76 and I-95 interchanges in Montgomery and Delaware counties.

The restrictions are part of a $63.7 million federally funded project to improve nearly 17 miles of I-476, including pavement resurfacing, repairs to 49 structures, and drainage and roadside safety improvements. H&K Group Inc. of Skippack is the general contractor.
