Drivers approaching the Exit 3 closure will be directed along a posted detour route. PennDOT did not provide the specific roads included in the detour.

Motorists should allow extra time, seek alternate routes when practical and remain alert for changing traffic patterns near the construction areas. All work is weather dependent.

The restrictions are part of a $63.7 million project covering nearly 17 miles of I-476 between I-76 in West Conshohocken BORO and I-95 in Ridley Township.

The project includes resurfacing travel lanes and shoulders, repairing 49 structures, improving 21 stormwater basins, repairing sound walls and upgrading drainage, pavement markings, signage, guiderail and Intelligent Transportation Systems equipment.
