How I-95 Lane Closures Could Affect Your Commute in Northeast Philly

Traffic, lane closed

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming inlet repair work that will affect southbound Interstate 95 near Academy Road in Northeast Philadelphia.

Beginning Monday, June 23, and continuing through Friday, July 11, a left lane closure will be in effect weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on southbound I-95 between the Bucks County Line and the Academy Road Interchange.

Motorists traveling through the area are advised to allow for additional travel time due to anticipated traffic delays and backups near the construction zone. PennDOT has emphasized that the repairs are weather-dependent and subject to adjustments based on conditions.
