PHILADELPHIA, PA — Immerse yourself in a magical holiday experience as the Holiday Garden Railway and Nighttime Express return to Morris Arboretum & Gardens from November 24 to December 30, 2023.
Recognized as one of the country’s largest outdoor model train displays, the Holiday Garden Railway captivates the holiday spirit with mini locomotives winding their way through a third of a mile of loops, tunnels, bridges, and replicas of Philly landmarks. All these structures are built with natural materials and are beautifully lit beneath a canopy of sparkling lights.
The Holiday Garden Railway is included with admission to Morris Arboretum, offering an enchanting daytime viewing experience for visitors. The garden railway transforms into a festive wonderland of lights and sounds, providing a marvelous spectacle that can be enjoyed by all ages.
For those seeking a more spectacular experience, the Nighttime Express is not to be missed. On select dates, the railway comes alive under the night sky, illuminated by laser lights in the trees and along the railway. This nighttime experience requires advance tickets, which are already on sale.
The Nighttime Express will run on Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on December 7, 14, and 21. It will also be available on Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 8, 15, and 22, and on Saturdays from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting November 25 and continuing through December 23. Sundays offer additional opportunities to enjoy the Nighttime Express from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., beginning November 26 and running through December 17.
Ticket prices for the Nighttime Express are $17 for member adults and $10 for member youth aged 3-17. Non-member adults can purchase tickets for $22, and non-member youth tickets are priced at $12. Children, both members and non-members, can enjoy the experience for free.
