PHILADELPHIA, PA — The HEADstrong Foundation, a Philadelphia-area based non-profit organization established to improve lives affected by cancer, has announced the Swing Into Action Invitational, part of the Amateur Golf Society (AGS) Tour. The event will be held at the Golf Course at Glen Mills from July 31st to August 6th, 2023.

“We are very excited for this opportunity to engage a new audience of supporters,” said HEADstrong President Cheryl Colleluori. “We are honored to be a charitable partner and proud to be involved with the AGS Tour from the beginning.”

The AGS Tour features fun and friendly competition for golfers of all skill levels. Their week-long tournaments, hosted at nearly 60 public courses in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware from April to October, enables participants to play one round anytime that works for their schedules, during the seven day event window. Each event offers four divisions of play based on USGA Handicap Index as well a women’s and a senior division.

“At AGS, we believe in the transformative power of golf and its ability to bring people together for a greater purpose,” said Dan Hershberg, Co-Founder and General Manager of AGS. “Our new partnership with the HEADstrong Foundation exemplifies our commitment to making a difference in the fight against cancer. We are excited to rally our members and supporters to join us in this meaningful cause.”

For every golfer that joins the AGS Tour using the code HEADstrong, $15 of their membership fee will go directly back to HEADstrong and its mission. Tour members can also pledge parts of their performance both that week and throughout the tour schedule in support of those affected by cancer. The HEADstrong team will be in attendance throughout the week to discuss the foundation and its mission with AGS Tour members.
