EDGMONT TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has issued an advisory that Gradyville Road, nestled in the heart of Edgmont Township, Delaware County, will experience a temporary closure. The disruption, slated for Wednesday, May 1, through the early hours of Thursday, May 2, comes as HBO undertakes a project requiring the road’s use.

From 3:00 PM on May 1 until 5:00 AM the following morning, the stretch of Gradyville Road between Delchester Road and Providence Road will be inaccessible to traffic. During these hours, motorists are encouraged to reroute via Providence Road, Route 3 (West Chester Pike), and Delchester Road as outlined detours.

This brief yet impactful closure is anticipated to cause significant traffic delays and backups in the vicinity. PennDOT advises drivers planning to traverse this area to allocate additional travel time to accommodate the expected delays. They further emphasize that the execution of these plans is contingent upon favorable weather conditions.

Residents and commuters through Delaware County should stay informed on this and other upcoming roadwork projects that could impact travel plans, keeping in mind that flexibility and patience will be key during these periods of adjustment.
